Indeed, AI has taken a large leap forward with innovations bringing forth chatbots and tailored recommendations integrating into our everyday lives. The real question remains: should we be afraid of AI? The simple answer is no – but in some areas we may need to tread lightly.

Examined critically, AI is, and always will be, a tool, an entity that when created brings along innovation. It is meant to assist, elevate efficiency, and solve tough challenges. But there are legitimate issues around AI interfering with jobs, privacy, and self-governance. Development of AI must, and can, take place in a manner that is responsible, ethical, and transparent so that concerns are stemmed from the root.

The horrors of AI stem from illegitimate fears and lack of information. A careful study of the matter can reveal considerable benefits from AI in healthcare, education, construction, and many other fields. We must embrace the advancements in AI with excitement rather than suspicion, as it gives us opportunities for innovation.

AI simply does not exist as an independent entity with the intention of subjugating humanity. It is a human creation and will always be in human control. The era of self-governing AI is deeply frightening and should never come into existence, it can, however, begin from an empowering foundation, if set with correct ethical responsibility.
